5 Tips for Planning the Perfect Autumn French Wedding

5 Tips for Planning the Perfect Autumn French Wedding

When it comes to planning your wedding, all the little details of your special day often depend on the overall theme. Today, we're focusing on fall. Do you dream of being married in the season of cozy weather, colorful leaves, and pumpkin spice? Fall can be the perfect time for turning over a new leaf with your partner. Beyond having an autumn celebration, one way to elevate the experience is to have your wedding in the land where romance blooms—France! To that end, if you're already on your way to making your fantasies into reality, the following tips will transform your autumn french wedding plans from ordinary to extraordinary!

autumn french wedding bouquet

Tip #1: Enhance the Look of Your Wedding Using Autumnal Flower Arrangements

There's nothing quite like a colorful fall bouquet to enhance the look of your French wedding. Whether it's in the hands of a blushing bride or used to decorate the venue, autumnal flowers will add warmth, color, and a touch of luxuriousness to your celebration.

The florist and the kinds of flowers that comprise the bouquet both play a significant role in the big day. Therefore, choose wisely. Options such as crocus, dahlia, or ivy-leaved cyclamen are perfect for fall blooms. With that in mind, here are some ideas on how to dress your venue with autumn bulbs.

  • If the venue has a staircase, decorate it with lavish flower arrangements.
  • Set up a flower wall at the site, which can also serve as a photography backdrop.
  • Get luxurious boutonnieres for the groom and his groomsmen.
  • Use extravagant bouquets as table centerpieces.
  • Hang flowers from the ceiling to create an illusion of raining flowers.

Tip #2: Extravagant Food and Drinks

Nothing can satisfy one's craving for luxury more than indulging in a menu fit for royalty, including a glass of bubbly with canapes. Enhance your guests' dining experience by serving the best champagne, delectable appetizers, and main dishes, as well as a wide selection of hor's d 'oeuvres.

The way to your guests’ hearts is through their stomachs! Be sure to put your catering choices to the test by choosing the tastiest dishes possible. From mouth-watering starters to sweet treats, the food you serve can make or break your whole wedding regardless of whether or not it is in France.

Tip #3: Set the Table with Eye-Catching Details Like Twigs and Pumpkins

No matter the size or shape of the table, there's always room to add charming details that can make everything feel more luxurious. For instance, a glass table paired with a pumpkin-inspired scheme for the napkins, chairs, and other draperies in the venue can lend an elegant yet rustic feel to the event. You can add more details seamlessly, such as charging plates, cutlery, or crockery ordered from a specialist.

For couples who are looking to play with colors, set the tone of your event by refining the color scheme of your autumn French wedding. This should dramatically influence the decor. From neutral shades with bold accents or vibrant, contrasting hues, these can elevate the look and feel of the site.

Tip #4: Make Wedding Favors Unforgettable

Giving a parting gift to your guests to thank them for being present on your special day is one way to make a good impression. When choosing the ideal token to hand out, ensure that it reflects the tone of the wedding to create a cohesive look.
Buying French wedding favors that the guests will find useful is usually the best route in making the most substantial impact. For instance, a miniature bottle of sparkling champagne or a box of truffles is more than enough to hit their sweet spot.

Tip #5: Cap it Off by Having Your Autumn French Wedding At Chateau de Lisse - Gascony

If you're looking for a breathtaking view, Chateau de Lisse, in the Aquitaine region of South West France, will transport you back in time with its impressive design and architecture. Dating back to the 12th century and with a link to Joan of Arc, this stunning chateau is the perfect setting for a dream, luxurious wedding.

The venue's charm and magnificence are seen in its 550 hectares of beautifully maintained grounds. Explore the fields, surrounding woodland and the deer park and admire the stunning view from the terrace and windows of the Chateau.

The beautiful period interior features large fireplaces, beamed ceilings and an oak panelled entrance hall with vaulted ceilings.

4 Top Wedding Design Tips For Your Wedding in France – Our Tips

4 Top Wedding Design Tips For Your Wedding in France – Our Tips

Your wedding day should be one of the most memorable days of your life. While there is nothing wrong with designing your wedding by yourself, you still need to make sure that you can actually pull it off. Styling a wedding is not a simple task, especially a wedding in France. It requires a great deal of creativity and a great eye for detail. All details, big and small, will affect the overall appearance and feel of your wedding. Therefore, it is imperative that all of your wedding elements work well together. The following tips will help you style your dream wedding in France and make it as stress-free as possible.

colour-palette

Pick Out the Perfect Colour Palette

The colour palette is one of the most essential aspects of your wedding design. With so many colours to choose from, it can be extremely difficult to choose just a few for your wedding. Think about you and your significant other’s favourite colours. It's also worth taking a look at your wardrobe to see the colours that you wear the most. This can, at least, help you figure out whether you prefer softer or bolder colours. By picking just one colour that you love the most, you can then pair it with complementary colours. Remember, the right colour palette will elevate and enhance the whole look and style of your wedding.

Create a Mood Board

Creating a mood board is a great way to help you see how well the different elements of your wedding will work together. This can be in the form of either a digital or physical mood board. If you prefer digital, you can create one on applications such as Pages, Word, or Adobe Photoshop. As for a physical board, you can fill it with printed wedding ideas and magazine clippings. Your mood board can be modified as your wedding design progresses.

Select the Right Venue

Your venue is going to determine the overall look and feel of your wedding. It’s therefore important to choose a location that feels right for you and your partner. When it comes to getting married in France, the first thing most people think of is a beautiful château. There are also lots of other options though, such as stunning country houses, vineyards and converted barns. Wedding venues in France can be surprisingly affordable and with onsite accommodation for your guests, your wedding celebrations can be extended into a weekend or even longer.

The location and architecture of your venue should ideally match your overall wedding design. Choosing your venue should therefore be one of the first decisions that you make during the planning process. This will ensure that your next decisions - such as the theme, furniture, and decor - will be based on the venue that you have chosen. Regardless of what you choose, make sure that your furniture and decor complement your venue.

Always Consider Your Theme

Once you have picked a theme for your wedding, try to stick with it throughout the design process. As there are so many gorgeous furniture and decor pieces, it can be difficult to eliminate ones that do not fit into your theme.
If you find something you love that does not fit into your overall theme, try to look for other similar items that work better for your wedding design. If a certain element does not exactly fit the theme but is extremely important to you however, then you should just go for it! After all, it is your wedding, and you should be able to do as you please.

6 Incredible French Wedding Cake Ideas for your Big Day

6 Incredible Cakes Ideas For Your French Wedding

The glamour and luxury of a french wedding are sure to drive your guests to say “Sacré bleu!”. Although the decor, venue, and dress may be impressive, the best way to make your guests’ jaws drop is with the icing on the cake—literally.
If you’re getting married in the most romantic country in the world, you can’t afford to shirk when it comes to the cake. Here are six incredible cake ideas for your French wedding:

CROQUEMBOUCHE

A genuine French wedding cake...
The Impeccable Pear - croquembouche wedding cake

Contrary to what you might imagine, a classic french wedding cake is nothing like your typical cylindrical layers of squishy goodness. Also known as the croquembouche, the traditional french wedding cake looks like a conical mound of pastry balls. Each pastry ball is a chou à la crème that contains custard, whipped cream, or even ice cream. Threads of caramelised sugar keep the individual choux together.|

Although the chou à la crème is usually brown-coloured, you can ask to have it made to match your wedding colour. Consider red and white croquembouche if you want polka dots. Ask for some edible sugar roses if you wish! You can also ask your caterer to create an elaborate one-of-a-kind caramel design; that is sure to make your guests’ eyes twinkle with delight.
A tall tower or a series of petite ones

Tall mounds never fail to make an impression. A tall croquembouche befits your towering ambitions and expectations in your relationship—sweet, yet sturdy. On the other hand, you can give your croquembouche a twist by creating smaller mounds and then piling each mound on top of the other. Regardless of your design, a croquembouche will be a sight to behold during your wedding party.

An adornment of pretty flowers
Why not take the floral theme beyond a flower wall and embellished gown? Your croquembouche can look beautiful with spring flowers as well. Create a caramel spiral around your traditional french wedding cake. Before the spiral cools and hardens, stick sugar flowers on its surface to create a spiralling floral “vine” on your croquembouche. You can also try a criss-cross style to create an assemblage of sugar flowers that seem to be attached to a trellis.

MACARONS

french macarons
A layered cake of macarons
Macarons are somewhat related to choux as these confectionaries are also filled with cream. Unlike choux, however, the filling is sandwiched in between flat “buns” of meringue. This gives the macaron less of a spherical look. Each macaron resembles a tiny burger that you can assemble to form various shapes such as squares or hearts. To make a layered tower of macarons, you will need to make pancakes that will serve as the boundary of each layer. The arrangement will then follow the shape of the pancake. For improved aesthetics, you can conceal the pancake borders with icing.
A kaleidoscope of colour

Just like choux, you can add food colouring to each piece of macaron so that the final product better suits the theme of your French wedding. You can also arrange the macarons to form colourful patterns when seen from afar!

CREPES

A traditional look with a French twist

For those who want to have a more traditional-looking cake without diminishing the frenchness of the event, crêpes are the perfect alternative. Crêpes are a thinned-out version of your morning pancakes. You can pile each crêpe on top of the other to create a three-dimensional cylinder. In between the crêpes, consider Nutella, whipped cream, butter, or jam as the filling. The downside of this type of cake is that it takes an incredible amount of time and labour to prepare. Your baker will need to produce more than a hundred crêpes of the same diameter to create just one layer of cake. If you manage to pull this feat off, however, the effort is very well worth it!

Planning a Destination Wedding – Why France is the Perfect Choice

Planning a Destination Wedding - Why France is the Perfect Choice

A destination wedding could make your big day even more meaningful...

Planning a wedding can feel a lot like running a marathon on stilts while juggling plates. The time that leads up to it is both exciting and exhausting. For some, the struggle only brings them closer. Others aren’t as lucky.

Many brides struggle to make their dream wedding a reality. They panic throughout the process, realising that they did not have it all figured out when they were little girls. From floral centrepieces to wedding dresses, wedding planning entails making difficult choices, all of which can lead to overthinking.

Some brides-to-be think that planing a menu and booking entertainment is the hardest part of wedding planning. However, there’s one major thing to plan that will outweigh the significance of everything else: the location.

The importance of choosing the right wedding location

If you ask someone married what they were most worried about when planning their wedding, chances are the answer will be the venue. It’s important to lock down a venue if you want to have the perfect wedding. The location plays a significant role in setting the theme and making every bride-to-be’s dreams come true. The moment you put down the deposit and confirm the date is usually when reality hits—you’re getting married!

The truth behind choosing a wedding location, however, is that it’s easier said than done. Most brides-to-be end up doubting their first choice, contemplating a second, toying with a third, and so on. Although picking a location might be a struggle, most people merely need a push to make the final decision. Yours might just come in the form of a question:

Have you considered France?

Best known as the country of love, France has made a name for itself as one of the world’s most romantic places. Its reputation makes it the ideal location to pledge your lifelong vows to your partner. The picturesque landscapes, to-die-for cuisine, excellent wines, and dreamy atmosphere is breathtaking. It’s no wonder France has become a fantasy destination wedding location for couples from around the world.

You can get married in France all year round, but the most popular months to hold a wedding in the country are May, June, and September.

Themes to choose from for a perfect french wedding

Did you know that there is no end to the different themes you can pull off in the South of France? Why not consider one of the following themes:

Turn back time with a vintage theme

A popular choice is vintage as it brings together the best of rustic and shabby chic. A vintage French theme defines itself with simple elements for a charming, elegant feel. People often recognise this theme by a pastel colour palette (such as peach, lilac, baby blue, and pale pink). When incorporating a vintage theme, consider using French linens, old books, dried lavender, crocheted doilies, and crystal vases for decor.

Be patriotic by going Parisian

When it comes to having a wedding in France, a Parisian-themed wedding is an obvious choice. If you want your special day to have a sense of elegance and grandeur, then the unmistakably chic appeal of a Parisian-themed destination wedding is the way to go. The best colour schemes for a Parisian wedding are Tiffany blue, red, pink, or anything with a pop of colour in it. In terms of your ceremony’s details, consider using Parisian elements such as perfume bottles, hatboxes, and votives. This will give the proceedings an elegant feel.

Sail the French rivers with something nautical

With its impeccable use of red, white, and blue, a nautical themed wedding is perfect for those who want a timeless, yet playful feel for their big day. Hold a nautical-themed destination wedding in France. When it comes to decorations, paper boats, rope, driftwood, and shells are perfect. Another cute design trick that will surely win your guests over is putting their names in bottles to act as charming placeholders.

Are you Planning a Destination Wedding?

Why stress out over planning a French destination wedding when you could leave it to the experts here at The Impeccable Pear? No matter whether you choose to get married during winter, spring, summer, or fall, we’re here to bring your dream to life. All you have to do is sit back, relax, and anticipate your special day. 4 Reasons to Hire a Luxury Wedding Planner For Your Big Day

Planning a wedding can be stressful and overwhelming. And of course, you want your wedding to be the perfect day! Here are 4 reasons why you need to hire a luxury wedding planner.

4 Reasons to Hire a Luxury Wedding Planner For Your Big Day

In this day and age, a wedding planner is a must. Why? You and your partner deserve all the best on your wedding day. Even prior to the occasion, you deserve to be relaxed while preparing for it. On your special day, it's best to avoid getting overwhelmed with all the details of your wedding - the décor, the guests, the photographer, the venue, and even things like how much everything will cost. This is why a luxury wedding planner is perfect. They can handle the details to ensure that your wedding will run as smoothly as possible. Still not convinced? Here are 5 reasons why you need to hire a luxury wedding planner.

1. A luxury wedding planner saves you time

It's likely that you don’t have all the time in the world to make all of the wedding plans yourself, much less see to it that they come to fruition. The pressures of work and life don't subside when  you're planning a wedding!

The planning stage in itself is time-consuming. Executing those plans will take up just as much of your time, if not more. You will likely spend months looking for wedding photographers, locking down a venue, choosing the décor, hiring a DJ, and handling everything else associated with such a big event.

A luxury wedding planner will make sure that all of these things are taken care of for you. You won't have to dedicate time to locate, shortlist and speak to potential suppliers. Your wedding planner will take care of all of this for you, presenting you with the best picks for you to choose from.

Luxury wedding planner stress of planning wedding.
Planning a wedding is a full-time project! It's so easy to get overwhelmed.

2. They'll ensure a stress-free experience

The stress that comes with wedding planning can be overwhelming. There are so many choices to make and details to consider. And of course, the bigger the wedding and the more you have to plan yourself, the more effort it will take.

With a luxury wedding planner, you pay to make all of this stress disappear. Wedding planners work behind the scenes to take care of everything. Of course, you'll be kept in the loop for all of the big decisions. But you can discuss these final choices at your leisure over a nice cup of tea or glass of wine.

Hiring a wedding planner to take charge will allow you to sit back, relax, and just look forward to your big day.

3. A luxury wedding planner keeps you on track

Given the complexity of a wedding and what one entails, it’s easy for your plans to spiral out of control. You may overlook some details, forget about some aspects of the day, and find it difficult to manage all of the outgoing deposits and payments.

This just simply doesn't happen when working with a luxury wedding planner. Wedding planners will keep on top of everything for you, keeping the planning, budget, and execution all under control.

The wedding planner you hire will be in control of everything. They will ensure that things stay on track, starting from day one of planning!

4. A luxury wedding planner creates unique experiences

When you hiring a luxury wedding planner, you're hiring the best of the best. You won't be paying for a wedding package that just anyone can purchase. You're hiring a bespoke service.

Your luxury wedding planner will take the time to sit with you before the wedding. They'll make sure they understand your personalities, needs and styles. Then they'll work with you to curate a wedding experience that's truly unique to you.

This keeps your wedding from being generic and overdone. And makes sure you are getting your perfect day - not someone else's.

Are you interested in working with a luxury wedding planner?

If you're getting married and are thinking of getting some help with the planning, hiring a professional is a good idea. A luxury wedding planner will be able to see to it that everything is taken care of, and that all you need to do is look forward to your special day!

Planning a Wedding in France – The Benefits of Each Season

Planning a Wedding in France – The Benefits of Each Season

One of the most exciting parts of getting married is watching your beautiful dream wedding come to life. During that process, you get to decide when you want to tie the knot. Every season has its unique advantages. Indeed, regardless of when you get married in France, your event will surely be beautiful and memorable. That being said, it’s essential to choose a season that suits your preferences. If you're planning a wedding in France and are wondering about the merits of tying the knot in each season, you’ve come to the right place. Let’s take a look!

Winter: White Wonderland

Winter is characterized by cold weather and snowfall. If you’re planning a wedding in France between January and February, you’ll be able to enjoy the benefits of a French winter wedding. Here are the benefits of getting married in this season:

  • Natural white backdrop. A fresh snowfall during your wedding day will make the event more dreamy. The cold weather also makes for a more intimate gathering, causing guests to huddle close to each other. Snow makes for a magnificent natural white backdrop, helping to bring out all the colors you decide to add for decor. Snow makes for a truly magical wedding in France!

  • The season for desserts. Winter is a time for feasting! You can take advantage of your guests’ willingness to be filled with hearty treats, from hot cocoa bars to a flood of comfort food. And of course, don’t forget the champagne!

Spring: Fresh Florals

No matter where you are in the world, spring is a lovely season. In France, we enjoy the wondrous feelings of hope and new beginnings that spring brings from March to May. Here are some reasons why you may want to get married in France during springtime:
wedding in france - rings on spring blossom
  • Naturally beautiful. This season is just naturally romantic and beautiful. It also signifies hope and new beginnings. Indeed, the moment you tie the knot is a new beginning as a married couple!
  • Guests are more available. Because spring comes after the holiday season, you’ll most likely get a hold of the people you want to invite as they probably won’t be away on holiday.
  • More wardrobe options. Because the weather in spring is somewhat forgiving, you can opt for just about any style of garment you want to wear. Whether the bride wants a long-sleeved or sleeveless gown, she’ll be spoiled for choice. The groom and other gentlemen will have more selections as well.

Summer: Sunset Wonder

Summer is characterized by warm, beautiful weather. If you decide to get married in France between June and August, bad weather is unlikely to be an issue. Here are other benefits of getting married during this season:
  • Fun and versatile menu. If you opt for a summer wedding, you can get creative with the menu. There will be a wider variety of options to choose from, as the caterers will have access to local cheese, ripe and newly harvested fruits, and even fresh meat.
  • Long days and comfy nights. The sun is up for a longer time during summer, so you can enjoy natural daylight longer during summer. This means more photos under the sun! Evening temperatures are comfortable as well - not too hot nor too cold.

Fall: Rustic Reception

You’ll fall even deeper in love when you get married in fall! Autumn months in France are from September to December, and this season means cold weather that won’t make you shiver. Here are some reasons why you’d want to schedule your wedding in the fall:

One of our favourite French wedding venues is the beautiful Chateau de Lisse. Here are all the reasons why we think Chateau de Lisse would be the perfect French Chateau wedding venue for your big day!

The History

Chateau de Lisse comes with its own rich and interesting history. The Chateau dates back to the 14th century. Local legend also has it that the Chateau once belonged to Joan of Arc's brother, with Joan's bedroom being located somewhere within the Chateau!

The Location

Chateau de Lisse is located in the Lot-et-Garonne within the Aquitaine region of South West France. The venue is only 1 hour south of Bordeaux and is easily accessible from Bordeaux, Toulouse and Bergerac . Agen train station is also only a 20 minute drive away.

This makes Chateau de Lisse well-located in terms of transport. But sitting in the heart of the French countryside, it is also relatively secluded. This means that you and your wedding party will be able to dance the night away in total privacy.

The Chateau is situated near a variety of camping, clamping and BnB accommodation for your wedding guests. And upon booking your wedding at Chateau de Lisse, you will be given a full list of all surrounding accommodation and amenities.

The Grounds

The Chateau is surrounded by 550 hectares of beautifully maintained grounds. You and your guests are free to explore the deer park, the fields, and the surrounding woods. You'll also be amazed by the beautiful view of the French countryside from the terrace and windows of the Chateau.

The grounds of Chateau de Lisse are also the perfect backdrop for wedding photography. This makes it the perfect French Chateau wedding venue for couples looking for beautiful, natural wedding photography.

The Amenities

Most of our couples choose to spend the entire weekend at Chateau de Lisse when getting married. This means that there are plenty of amenities for you and your guests to enjoy. The Chateau comes with a games room, multiple entertainment systems, a swimming pool, a poolside BBQ and a volleyball court.

Within the surrounding areas of Chateau de Lisse, you'll also find pony trekking, archery, shooting, and an 18-hole golf course.

The Interior

The interior of Chateau de Lisse is beautifully classic. You'll enter into the oak panelled entrance hall with vaulted ceilings, and make your way through the Chateau de Lisse rooms downstairs including two kitchens, various sitting areas and the beautiful Rococo style salon.
The upstairs holds all of the bedrooms and bathrooms with no two bedrooms being the same! The Chateau comfortably sleeps 20 guests and is available for exclusive hire.

The Ceremony

A variety of wedding ceremony options makes Chateau de Lisse the ideal French Chateau wedding venue. There is a stunning 12th century wedding chapel on the grounds which most of our couples choose for their wedding ceremony. And the chapel really is so beautiful that it requires very little decoration.

Alternatively, as the summer weather in the beautiful South West of France is so lovely and warm, many of our couples choose to hold their wedding ceremony outside on one of the Chateau lawns.

7 Tips to Find the Perfect French Chateau Wedding Venue

More and more couples are choosing to get married in a French Chateau. Here are all of our tips to help you find the perfect Chateau for your wedding in France.

7 Tips to Find the Perfect French Chateau Wedding Venue

A beautiful Chateau wedding is something many people can only imagine. The look, style, and aesthetic is something that belongs in a movie set or a Fairy Tale! If you’re looking to plan your dream Fairy Tale wedding, a Chateau wedding is definitely worth considering. And if you’re looking to have a classic Chateau wedding, what better place to have it than in France? - The land where these mansions originate? Here are all of our tips to help you find the perfect Chateau for your wedding in France.

1. Establish Your Chateau Wedding Budget

The first thing that you always need to think about when you’re looking to host a wedding in a Chateau is your budget. It goes without saying that when you’re renting a historic and elegant mansion for your wedding, this won't come as low-cost option.
However, the cost doesn’t always have to be so absurd, as there are many French Chateaux that offers an affordable fee or package for your wedding. You should also make sure that you are clear about your budget from the start. And that you ask any questions about cost as soon as possible to avoid disappointment.

2. Think About the Aesthetics

There are many different types of Chateaux available. No two Chateau wedding venues are the same! Some chateaux are incredibly old, as some were built all the in the Renaissance period or even earlier. However, some chateaux have since been renovated to take on more of a modern style. This means that the aesthetic and the decor of the chateau will differ depending on the architect and the period when it was built or renovated.

For example, a chateau from the gothic period will have tall spires and round glass windows, which are the key characteristics of constructions from that time. On the other hand, a chateau that was built during the Victorian era will be much more symmetrical and squared.

Take a look at the beautiful Chateau de Lisse, pictured in the gallery below:

3. Consider the Amenities

Aside from the construction, the other elements such as garden arrangement, amenities, and the compatibility with modern technology are also something that you should consider.

Many couples plan to spend the entire weekend of their wedding, or even longer, at the Chateau. Therefore, you want to be sure that there are plenty of options to keep everyone entertained and occupied. Chateau reps or wedding planners can help you find this information, and will usually be aware of all that the Chateau has to offer.

4. Check Out the Regional Weather

You should also check the weather condition during the time you’re planning to host your wedding. As chateaux provide such beautiful backdrops to a wedding, most couples choose to have their celebrations, and even ceremonies, outside. So, you'll want to check the time of year you've chosen for your Chateau wedding offers the likelihood of good weather.

You should also check that the typical French regional weather for the area you've chosen for your Chateau wedding. If you're looking for a beautiful and sunny Summer wedding, we recommend the South of France for your wedding celebrations.

5. Find Out if the Chateau Can Handle Poor Weather

Even if the region you've chosen is likely to have nice, sunny weather, you'll also want to make sure the Chateau can handle poor weather. If you plan to have your wedding outside and it rains, you should always have a backup plan.

Make sure that the Chateau has plenty of suitable indoor options in case Mother Nature decides to rain on your parade. This could include indoor dining halls, reception rooms and dance or ballrooms. The chateau and its facility should be able to handle the weather condition and offer plenty of 'plan B' options in case of bad weather.

6. Factor in the Rest of the Wedding

When booking a Chateau venue, you'll need to make sure that it is also wedding compatible. Do they allow external suppliers or do they have preferred suppliers that they use exclusively? Will you be allowed to decorate the Chateau to the style you want? Is the kitchen available for your wedding caterers to use? How many people will you be able to invite to the Chateau? How many of these people will be able to stay, and how many will need to find other local accommodation?

These are all important questions to ask when booking a French Chateau wedding. And in most cases, the booking agent or wedding planner for the venue will be able to answer all of these questions for you. Which brings us to the last top tip:

7. Find a credible representative

Much like any other type of rental properties, there are agents who liaise between bookers and chateau owners. If you are having difficulty finding the best options, you can contact Chateau agents to discuss your needs.

Another option is to work with a wedding planner, such as The Impeccable Pear, who are exclusive suppliers for some of the best Chateaus in France.  Typically, these professionals will be able to cater to your needs and will go to great lengths to make sure you have a good experience during your stay.

Why South of France Weddings Are the Most Beautiful

We think that the South of France is the perfect wedding destination. Here are all of the reasons why we think South of France weddings are the most beautiful!

Why South of France Weddings Are the Most Beautiful

When planning a destination wedding in France, many couples choose to go for the bigger cities like Paris. They want to get caught up in the romance and have a Fairy Tale French wedding like they've seen in the movies. However, when it comes to getting married in France, we think that the South of France is the perfect wedding destination. Here are all of the reasons why we think South of France weddings are the most beautiful!

The Relaxed Atmosphere

Getting married is already a stressful and often overwhelming experience. You don't need to add the hustle and bustle of a big French city like Paris to your wedding experience. We find it far more relaxing to plan South of France weddings instead.

The atmosphere in the South of France is laid-back and chilled out. And according to The Independent, its charm lies in its serenity. People here are friendly and warm, and also aren't in as much of a hurry as folks from the big city! Couples who come for their South of France weddings enjoy being able to relax and unwind, to have some time away from their busy lives.

The Cuisine

Another reason to get married in the South of France is the amazing cuisine. The food in the South of France is based around main components of olive oil, tomato, garlic, onions and herb de Provence. The cuisine in the South of France is also heavily influenced by Mediterranean styles and flavours. So, you can guarantee lots of rich, flavourful and hearty dishes for your wedding menu. Here in Gascony, where The Impeccable Pear plan all of our weddings, we are particularly known for our sensational Foie Gras.

  • Ratatouille
  • Aigoboulido (garlic soup)
  • Pissaladière (an anchovy tart with onion, tomato and olives)
  • Bouillabaisse (a fish and shellfish stew)
  • Fresh local mussels and oysters
  • Fantastic local and regional cheeses

The Scenery

Some of the best scenery comes from the beautiful countryside in the South of France. You'll fall in love with the charm of the rolling hills, French fields and woodlands as well as the local wildlife. The South of France is also known for its agriculture. Which means that there are lots of wide open fields, lending a relaxed and natural atmosphere to the area.

This makes South of France weddings particularly perfect, as you'll have lots of nearby opportunities for beautiful wedding photos. Why not take a stroll through the fields and woods with your wedding photographer to make the most of the infamous 'golden hour.'

The Chateau Wedding Venues

South of France weddings are famously held in one of the many beautiful Chateau wedding venues that the region has to offer. In fact, the South of France boasts over 500 chateaux! These chateaux are the perfect backdrop for your Fairy Tale wedding, as well as providing the ideal backdrop for some romantic and memorable wedding photos.

At The Impeccable Pear, we plan all of our weddings in French Chateaux. We have two beautiful options available to our couples. Chateau de Lisse which is located in the beautiful region of Gascony. And also Chateau Plombis, situated in Castelgarat, one hour away from Toulouse.

Our couples simply adore these beautiful French Chateaux. And as they are available for exclusive hire, they are able to dance the night away with their guests in total luxury and privacy.
