Earlier this year, we planned a Dubai-French wedding for Hannah and Shane, which took place over a 3-day celebration at the beautiful Chateau de Lisse. This was such a spectacular wedding, we’ve chosen to feature it here in our portfolio. So, read on to find out Hannah and Shane’s Dubai-French wedding.
Hannah and Shane both live in Dubai. So, when they met with us, they were instantly keen to plan lots of Dubai-style touches into their French wedding. They chose to blend a mix of local French favourites, with a hint of Dubai sparkle for their Dubai-French wedding.
The bride and groom told us that many of their guests had never been to Dubai. So, they wanted to plan a Dubai-French wedding to give them a small taste of Dubai life.
Much like many of our other lovely couples, Hannah and Shane fell head over heels in love with one of our wedding venues, Chateau de Lisse in the South of France.
The couple informed us that they came across Chateau de Lisse whilst they had been holidaying in France. So, when they realised that the Chateau was available for exclusive wedding hire, they made an appointment to view the venue right away.
Hannah wrote about the Chateau: ‘The Chateau is a fairytale. Turrets! Endless greenery! And a quaint chapel. The venue ticks every single box on the spectrum, not to mention the numerous layers of secret gardens, unreal decor inside the grand salon and beautiful bedrooms. And did I mention the pool?!’
Hannah and Shane wanted to make the most of their wedding celebrations. So, they chose to hold a 3-day Dubai-French wedding at the Chateau for all of their guests.
This included a cheese and wine Welcome Soirée on the Friday night, the all-day wedding celebrations on the Saturday, as well as a BBQ and pool party on the Sunday. Hannah and Shane needed our help to bring everything together. So, we organised and executed all three days of the wedding celebrations.
This involved talking with the couple to really understand their vision. However, like most of our destination wedding couples, Hannah and Shane left most of the planning to us. We pride ourselves on taking the vision of our couples and then planning their dream wedding. So, when our couples arrive for their wedding celebrations, they can be confident everything is taken care of.
As is common for weddings at Chateau de Lisse, the couple chose to have their wedding ceremony in the Chateau’s 12th century wedding chapel.
As the chapel itself is so stunning, it rarely needs much decoration. However, we lined the aisle with white flower petals, and tied subtle white hearts to each of the chairs along the aisle to create a beautiful, romantic atmosphere.
After the ceremony, the celebrations began! Canapés were served, photographs were taken, and champagne was circulated. The couple chose to be seated in the indoor banquet room for their 3-course wedding breakfast, and then danced the night away in the Chateau’s dance hall.
The bride chose an absolutely beautiful dress by Ronald Joyce, with a hand-made Veil from Camilla Brides in Norwich, complete with Swarovski crystals. Hannah also wore a headpiece from Jon Richard, and also a flower crown designed and made by The Impeccable Pear’s own Vic Engelen.
Interestingly, the groom wore a suit that he had designed himself at City Land Tailoring in Dubai, UAE where it was also made and tailored. We thought this was such a lovely touch, as it’s not very often that couples design their own wedding outfits!
The bridesmaids also designed their own dresses at City Land Tailoring, and the groomsmen all looked very dapper in their suits from Moss Bros. 1851 Collection.
As Hannah and Shane’s celebrations spanned 3 days, we worked extra hard to make sure everyone remained fed and happy. And of course, being located in the South of France, we always use the finest local produce in our catering! So, we received lots of compliments from the bride, groom and guests.
The catering started on the Friday night with Hannah and Shane’s cheese and wine Welcome Soirée. Our own Impeccable Chef Jean-Marc and his team laid out a beautifully presented cheeseboard. This also included a cheese wedding cake – 5 tiers of cheese wheels designed to look like a wedding cake.
On the wedding day, we served a variety of canapés. However, the guests particularly enjoyed the foie gras and avocado cups. Then, for the wedding breakfast, the bride and groom chose duck (with a salmon fillet for the pescatarian bride) and traditional French creme brûlée.
Several guests sent their compliments to the chef. And Hannah wrote: ‘our creme brûlée desert tasted even better than it looked – if that was even possible! Deliciously sweet and served at optimum temperature, despite the long speeches!’
Finally, The Impeccable Chef provided BBQ food and drinks for the Sunday pool party. All of the guests left the Chateau at the end of the weekend full of high spirits and delicious food!
At The Impeccable Pear, we’re in close contact with our couples before, during, but also after the wedding. We like to make sure that all of the celebrations were truly exceptional. So, we always check in with our couples after they have returned home.
We were absolutely delighted to receive this testimonial from Hannah and Shane:
‘Throughout the planning, which has been very detailed, I have enjoyed working with the trio of expertise and talent behind Impeccable Pear. We had the Dubai-French wedding weekend of our dreams and were able to “wow” our guests (so I’m told!) with the stunning venue and it’s gorgeous grounds, the fabulous food and beautiful flowers as well as tiny, personal details all put together exquisitely by Jo, Vic, Jean-Marc and team. A huge, heart felt thank you.’
Congratulations on Your Dubai-French Wedding
