Forever Grateful

We found Jo out of pure luck when we was looking for chateaus in France and I will forever be grateful that I did find her when finding the beautiful Chateau Plombis.

From the very beginning back in 2020!!! Jo was so kind, helpful, organised and genuinely excited to plan my dream day. I had absolutely no idea about anything and she put my mind at ease instantly.

After a 2 year wait and a baby later our big day had finally arrived. I don’t think I will ever come to terms with how perfect my wedding day really was, it was everything i had envisioned and more! And that was down to jo and her team. I genuinely believe I had the best team in the whole world! The whole day from start to finish was an absolute dream, I smiled all day.

Nikki and Linzi were absolutely amazing they made me feel so beautiful and were the kindest most lovely ladies with a lot of talent! I was luckily to have them as my hair and makeup artists!

Jean Marc completely blew everyone away with the catering for our wedding, the food was absolutely incredible and had a lot of praise from our guests, rightly so! Incredibly talented and lovely man!

All of the waiting staff and bar staff did an amazing job, they couldn’t do enough for you and worked very hard ensuring everything was as planned for the day, there was a lady in particular who did not let my glass go empty and had the loveliest smile.

After 2 years of jo planning my wedding and making my dreams come true I believe I not only landed myself the best wedding planner ever but also made a friend for life.

Firstly, thank you so much for making our day so special. It’s been a rather overwhelming few weeks with the honeymoon, and coming back to England to sort out Will’s mum etc so sorry it’s taken me so long to properly say thank you.

I know so many brides that question the value of an on the day coordinator and I really now understand the true value and will always recommend brides to have one!  You seamlessly managed everything and made it the most spectacular day. We really appreciate you and your ‘magic wand’ and wish we could do it all again.

The pandemic really made us learn to appreciate the little things, and having made such a special bond with our suppliers over that (slightly longer than planned!) duration of time we really value each any every one of you. We may not be hosting another wedding but we do hope to stay in touch and I will forever be recommending you on all of the bridal groups.

Le Chef Impeccable – an absolute joy to work with

Jean-Marc was an absolute joy to work with. He was friendly and patient with us from the very first conversation taking the time to explain all of the options from the styles of service (plated, family style, action stations, etc), available add-ons, to the timing, and his wide-ranging menu options.

At our menu tasting, Jean-Marc (and Jo!) welcomed us into their beautiful home, and from the moment we walked in the incredible smells wafting out of the kitchen had us won over! Every dish we sampled was perfectly cooked and gorgeously plated, and after sampling Jean-Marc helped us craft a menu that perfectly fit the two of us.

On our wedding day Jean-Marc and his team were flawless, delighting our small (60) but eclectic group that included a fair number of both picky eaters and globetrotting foodies. We were so impressed with the pacing of the afternoon, course-after-course, with each dish served at the perfect temperature. Our main course, the duck confit, was the highlight of the meal; we received multiple compliments from guests who “don’t normally like duck” who absolutely loved their dinner.

His care and attention to detail was apparent especially in both his willingness to accommodate our guests dietary needs (vegetarians and gluten free) and that he crafted special dishes for them so that they did not feel left out.

We knew from the very beginning of our wedding planning that the culinary experience would be enormously important to us (and our guests) and we were so happy with the end result!

Our very first decision turned out to be the best decision, and that was choosing Jo as our wedding planner! From the moment we agreed on a destination wedding we knew that selecting the right wedding planner was a make or break proposition, and from our very first conversation Jo made us feel welcome and like we’d be in good hands.

In addition to a list of beautiful wedding venues in the region, Jo also has an extensive network of wedding day suppliers to help us find the right artists for our wedding day including a guitarist to play during the ceremony and a photographer with a strong style and artistic sensibility. Jo was also able to fulfill our unique and quirky request to find a silhouette artist (to replace the more common photo booth) that turned out to be an unexpected delight for all our guests. Jo and her team  were an amazing trifecta of talent with a variety of ideas to help us make decisions about what it was we wanted for our special day.

When the pandemic started in March 2020 and we could no longer visit France that Spring, she helped us select our venue and secure our 2021 date via email , WhatsApp and Skype. She booked every supplier we needed for our wedding, and when it became apparent that COVID would require us to postpone it to 2022, she rebooked our entire wedding.

On the wedding day, we wanted to double-check (stress over) each and every detail. Jo quickly put us completely at ease as she and her staff meticulously set up for the day’s events. Her calm and collected presence countered our anxious energy, and allowed us to enjoy the day without ever feeling rushed. And each time we turned to Jo to ask “What’s next?” She and her team were ready to move forward to the next activity with perfect pacing.

We couldn’t be more thankful for the steady hand with which she guided us through planning during the pandemic, through our year-long postponement, and then on the day itself. Our wedding was truly the most magical day and it would not have been possible without Jo.

Organising an overseas wedding without seeing the venue or meeting the suppliers is nerve-wracking to say the least, but Jo ensured everything was perfect. She is not only very professional but also easy to deal with and incredibly efficient and creative, she more or less had the whole wedding organised within a month of us making contact. Jo only uses suppliers that she trusts and every one of them were excellent. I cannot recommend Jo highly enough and we are so very grateful for all her hard work in making our wedding not just good but amazing. We will talk about this forever and so will our guests who were blown away.

Everything exceeded our expectations

Jo was our wedding planner and was a lifesaver. Organising a wedding in another country to your own, especially a country that you don’t speak the language in, was a very daunting task for us. Jo was very warm and accommodation right from the beginning. We felt confident that our expectations would be met. We were quite particular at times and Jo took it all in her stride. All of the suppliers that Jo recommended were amazing and everything passed our expectations with fantastic memories. I didn’t want it to end and would do it all over again.

Why you need a fantastic wedding planner

Jo was fantastic from start to finish, she has excellent vision and knowledge. Jo reminded us of decisions she needed us to make or questions she needed to ask in order to double-check our requirements, which to me was a perfect of having a planner and still having the control most brides want. Jo made sure that requests were never too much hassle and was very accommodating, she would research the best supplier for your needs and ensure that the budget was kept in balance with this. With an excellent eye for detail and the time Jo takes to get to know you and what would make your wishes come true, I never doubted we would get the wedding day that we dreamed of. Jo listened in regards to budget, theme and all the small details which were important to how we wanted the day to be, this put me at ease especially as you are leaving the biggest day of your life in someone else’s hands. Jo is certainly someone you can trust.

My day ran smoothly, looked more beautiful than I could have ever imagined it could (and without Jo I doubt it would have) and I would happily plan it time and time again. I must say, since the planning part of a wedding is supposed to be so stressful I can honestly say that I miss planning and chats with Jo, which can only indicate what a wonderful experience the whole thing was.

Never Forget That Crème Brulee

Thank you so much for an incredible stay, from the moment we walked in we knew it was going to be perfect. So many guests have told us it was the best wedding they had ever had – I will never forget that crème brulee. This has been the most brilliant week we will never forget it!

Everything We Hoped For and More
